On the United States:
  • $1.04 trillion in direct travel-related expenditures which generated a total of $2.4 trillion in economic output
  • $164.7 billion in federal, state and local tax revenue
  • 15.6 million jobs supported by travel expenditures (8.8 million directly and 6.8 million in other industries)

On the COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA:

  • $24.8 billion in direct travel-related expenditures
  • $1.7 billion in federal, state and local tax revenue
  • 232.200 jobs and $5.9 billion in salaries
On the Coastal Virginia Region:
  • $5.2 billion in direct travel-related expenditures
  • $419.9 million in state and local tax revenue
  • 48,020 jobs and $1.1 billion in salaries
On the City of Virginia Beach:
